Google Gemini - Genernative AI Apps
AI is presenting new, exciting possibilities for brands, products, and experiences, way beyond the chatbot. During 2024’s Google I/O conference, we worked with Google to launch the Gemini Developer API Competition. The Grand Prize for the competition was a retrofitted electric Delorean, and to demonstrate the possibilities of Gemini, we created three AI-powered apps that developers at the conference could try on interactive pillars around the grand prize.
Trivia Twister
Forget the internet's tired trivia! Our Gemini-fueled Trivia Twister takes things to a whole new level. Just pick two wildly different topics, and BOOM! Gemini whips up mind-blowing trivia that fuses them in crazy ways. Up for the ultimate test of your knowledge? Try it here!
Mechanics
The Trivia Twister app uses Gemini 1.5 Pro’s prompt feature. It starts with a safety check of the topics, then prompts Gemini to generate six trivia questions blending both topics. Each question has four answer choices, unfolding in six steps.
Draw your Comic
Don’t think you're the creative type? Think again! In our comic app, YOU'RE the artist. Just doodle in a few panels, and Gemini transforms your sketches into hilarious, action-packed comics! Mechanics
Gemini receives the comic drawn by a user, along with a set of behind-the-scenes instructions as prompts. By using the “text-and-image” feature and instructing Gemini to return the result in a specific format, we can receive everything in a single response.
Escape the Room
Think you've got the brains to escape? Gemini becomes your partner in crime-solving in our Escape Room app. Choose your room, chat with Gemini to search for clues, and piece together the puzzle. It's a race against time as you orchestrate your grand escape! Try it here!
Mechanics
The game uses Gemini's “text-and-image” feature, sending room illustrations and prompts for unique story improvisations based on user input. With the “stream responses” feature, we quickly see Gemini’s answers and writing progress.
